God can use you anytime, any place. Even on a date. 😂
WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS
Awhile ago, Jaika and I were on our weekly date. We noticed a young black guy walking past us on the road. I felt the urge to pray for him. So I asked him if he would let us pray for him, and he said yes.
Immediately, God gave me a prophetic word for him.
PROPHETIC VISION
I saw in the Spirit a picture of a shaken up soda bottle. It looked like it was about to explode. Yet when the cap came off, it released all the pressure that built up.
He was shook.
He explained that the image I saw was spot on. Plus, everything else I said lined up perfectly with what was happening in his life the last few months.
All glory to God! 🙏🏿
Right On Time
He also shared that we stopped him at the best time.
He was very discouraged by his current circumstance. I heard he needed to be faithful in prayer. I also heard there was a specific Scripture he needed to declare out loud on a consistent basis.
Then Jaika heard one of the Scriptures he needed to read. Isaiah 62.
What’s so powerful is that part of that Scripture is about giving God no rest in prayer!
He was so moved. He shared that nothing like this had ever happened to him before.
He believed in Jesus but we also preached the Gospel to him. We called him to repent of any sins he was hanging on to, get baptized in water & receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
We would have ministered further but he had to run. So he gave us both hugs and then headed off to meet with a friend.
The entire prayer, prophetic word & conversation took about 20 minutes. In those short 20 minutes, his life changed for the better!
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN FROM THIS
I share this testimony as a teaching moment. The Bible says prophecy to an uninformed believer or nonbeliever cuts to the heart. It helps them to see God (1 Corinthians 14:24-25).
This man went to church but he never experienced God in this way.
This encounter convicted him about sins. It also stirred him to repentance, strengthened his prayer life & allowed him to be open to what God was doing in his life. Despite what his circumstances looked like.
Know this. Every believer can evangelize. Every believer can prophesy! Prophesying is such an important tool. Especially during evangelism.
It is a gift from God that brings both encouragement & conviction when we share our faith. This allows nonbelievers to place their faith in God and believers to gain a deeper faith in God.
If you are reading this, I encourage you to embrace evangelism.
Ask God to minister to you prophetically and empower you to minister to others prophetically as well. This is one of the desires of the Holy Spirit for every believer!
