The Inherited Identity Prayer

The Inherited Identity Prayer

Jesus, apart from you, I am nothing. You are my everything.

I yield myself to you, spirit, soul, and body, heart, mind, and will.

Jesus, please grant me repentance and keep me in my weakness.

Jesus when I fail, remind me that I am not a failure, but a victor.

The Care of the Father

YAHWEH, you are my:

Creator (Isaiah 40:28), Deliverer (Psalm 18:2), and the Everlasting God (Isaiah 40:28)

You are my Father (Deuteronomy 32:6) and my Fortress (Psalm 18:2)

You are the Holy One of Israel (Isaiah 41:14)

You are the I AM (Exodus 3:14), my King (Psalm 47:7)

You are the Lord Who Provides (Genesis 22:14), the Lord Who Sanctifies (Leviticus 20:8)

You are the Lord Our Peace (Judges 6:24) and the Lord Our Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6)

You are the Lord Our Shepherd (Psalm 23:1)

You are my Redeemer (Isaiah 44:6), my Rock (Deuteronomy 32:4), and my Shield (Genesis 15:1)

Thank you for fathering me. Thank you for creating me. Thank you for providing for me.

I receive you as my provider. Thank you for sanctifying me. Thank you for shepherding me. Thank you for shielding me.

Jesus, you are the Bread of Life (John 6:35), the Breath of Life (John 20:22), and my Bridegroom (Matthew 9:15)

Let me receive strength and sustenance from you daily.

Give me the strength to honor our covenant.

Let me be one with you as you are one with the Father.

Let me lay down my life for you and for others the way you laid down your life for the Church.

Jesus the Shepherd and High Priest

Jesus, you are the Good Shepherd (John 10:11), the Great High Priest (Hebrews 4:14), the Fountain of living water (Jeremiah 2:13)

Refresh me with your living water. Let it wash me, spirit soul and body, heart, mind and will.

I am your sheep and I receive you as my shepherd.

Let your glory be my rearguard. Let your sacrifice and your blood cover me completely.

Equip me to preach the gospel that the world would know that you are the one we should all trust.

Jesus’s Lordship and Intercession for the Global Church

Jesus, you are the Heir to everything (Hebrews 1:2), Immanuel (Matthew 1:23), my Intercessor (Hebrews 7:25), my Keeper (2 Timothy 1:12)

You are the King of kings (Revelation 19:16) and the Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16)

I receive you as King and Lord. Govern my life in every way.

I thank you that you are always praying on my behalf and on behalf of the Church.

Continue to keep me until the end.

I pray the body of Christ would be unified in you and reach complete maturity in you.

Jesus, you are the Lamb of God (John 1:29), the Light of the world (John 8:12), and the Lion of Judah (Revelation 5:5)

Remove all darkness within me with your light.

Thank you for being the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.

Jesus, you are the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25)

You are my Strength (Philippians 4:13) and my Stronghold (Psalm 9:9)

You are my Shield (Psalm 18:2)

Jesus, thank you for protecting me and giving me strength.

I receive the life to the full that you have promised.
