If you are willing to accept a world that is moral but has not made Jesus Lord, Jesus is not your Lord.
Following religion can bring you a form of morality, but only Jesus can save your soul and make you a new creation.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
Religion separate from Jesus is a whitewashed tomb that tries to hide the stench of death and decay.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.” Matthew 23:27 NKJV
The highest forms of religion & philosophy can even mummify the dead so that from a distance, it looks preserved.
But dead is dead. And alive is alive.
The promise of following Jesus is not morality, but life.
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 NKJV
Life can be messy. But life is real.
Death can be well maintained. But dead is dead.
Jesus Christ is the God of the living.
Those who do not pledge their allegiance to Jesus as Lord will suffer the second death of hell.
“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8 NKJV
Where the fire forever burns. Where the worm never dies. Where there is only weeping and gnashing of teeth.
“If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched, where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched.’” Mark 9:43-44 NKJV
“The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 13:41-42 NKJV
There is no return from this. Repent while you still can, for the kingdom of God is here. And it is here to stay, forever.

False Christianity points toward morality. True Christianity points to Jesus alone.
